This project breathes new life into a century-old retail building in the heart of downtown New Braunfels. The renovation thoughtfully blends historic preservation with modern functionality, restoring the second-floor offices while integrating accessibility features, including an elevator connecting both levels and the basement.

A key aspect of the restoration is the removal of the existing stucco, unveiling and revitalizing the building’s original intricate brick façade—bringing its historic character back to life. Additionally, on the exterior, a striking new steel balcony redefines the building’s presence along the main street, while new storefront openings along the adjacent arterial street enhances pedestrian engagement.

The transformation extends to the back alley, reimagining it as a vibrant urban space, primed for a café or bar, turning a once-passive passageway into an inviting social hub. This renovation seamlessly marries historic charm with contemporary design, ensuring the building’s continued relevance for years to come.
